Ithuba’s Hunt for R100 Million Lotto Winner Persists

The anticipation surrounding the R100 million Lotto jackpot remains high as the winner has yet to come forward. Ithuba, the National Lottery operator, continues its search for the fortunate ticket holder.

The Winning Ticket

The winning ticket, which promises the second-largest Lotto jackpot in South African history, was purchased at a Pick n Pay store in Hazeldean Square, Pretoria. Despite the draw occurring on August 3, the winner has not yet claimed their life-altering prize.

Urgent Call to Verify Tickets

Charmaine Mabuza, CEO of Ithuba, has issued an urgent plea to all Lotto participants to check their tickets. “We urge everyone who took part in the draw to verify their tickets immediately. This could be your moment of a lifetime,” Mabuza stressed.

Prize Claim Procedure

The winning ticket remains valid for 365 days from the draw date. If unclaimed within this period, the prize money will be transferred to the National Lotteries Participants Trust Fund (NLPTF) for safekeeping. Should the winner not come forward within the allotted time, the funds will be redirected to the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund (NLDTF) to support various charitable causes and beneficiary organizations.

Historical Significance

This R100 million jackpot is only surpassed by the R110 million prize won in 2018, which was shared among four winners. The current unclaimed prize has sparked significant interest and speculation, with many wondering if the winner is unaware of their newfound wealth.

As Ithuba’s search for the R100 million Lotto winner continues, the organization remains hopeful that the lucky individual will soon step forward to claim their prize. In the meantime, Ithuba encourages all participants to check their tickets to ensure they do not miss out on this incredible opportunity.
