Joining him is Jason Smith, an all-rounder renowned for his powerful middle-order batting and effective bowling in domestic T20 matches. Smith’s impressive performances in the local T20 leagues have drawn the attention of selectors, leading to his debut in the national squad.
South Africa will return to the Caribbean for this series, having finished as runners-up to India in the T20 World Cup held in June. The upcoming tour will see several changes in the squad, with notable absences due to injuries, workload management, and ongoing commitments to various T20 leagues.

Rassie van der Dussen, who was absent from the World Cup squad, has been recalled. The three-match series is scheduled to be played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, Trinidad and Tobago, on August 23, 25, and 27.
