France has launched an official investigation into allegations of cyberbullying targeting Olympic boxer Imane Khelif, amidst a contentious debate over gender identity.

A 42-year-old foreign national, arrested in the Western Cape with R1.29 million worth of drugs, is expected to appear in court on Friday morning.

Cholota, aged 37, faces serious allegations including fraud, corruption, and money laundering connected to the controversial R255 million Free State asbestos project. Her legal struggle has intensified since her extradition from the United States on August 8, 2024.
